Jaipur sightseeing in one day: a realistic plan

One day is enough to see the headline sights if you start early and keep the order sensible.

8:00 am: Hawa Mahal photo stop

The facade glows in the morning sun. You only need 10 minutes from the street, and no ticket is needed for the outside view.

8:30 am: Amber Fort

Reach before the tour buses. Spend about 2 hours including Sheesh Mahal and the Ganesh Pol.

11:30 am: Jal Mahal and Panna Meena Kund

Quick photo stops, around 30 minutes in total.

1:00 pm: Lunch, then City Palace and Jantar Mantar

Both are close together and easy to cover on foot. Allow 2.5 hours.

5:00 pm: Johari Bazaar

End with shopping for jewellery, block prints and lac bangles before drop at your hotel.
